SUMMARY:Schooner Freda B: Opening Day on the Bay
DESCRIPTION:April 26th – Opening Day on the Bay \n\n\nJoin us for Opening Day on the SF Bay festivities\, including the parade and blessing of the fleet. Lunch is included with tickets! \n\n\n\n\nOpening Day is an annual celebration of the maritime community on the San Francisco Bay\, dating back to 1917. Local sailors festoon their vessels and come together for various traditions\, including the blessing of the fleet and parade along the San Francisco waterfront. \nJoin us aboard Schooner Freda B for all the festivities! Our signature Gourmet Picnic Lunch is included in the ticket price. \nSchooner Freda B is a sea kind 80′ gaff rigged coastal schooner\, making her one of the San Francisco Bay’s most comfortable and traditional vessels to sail. Experience the romance of yesteryear with a local\, licensed captain and professional crew. \nSchedule \n\nBoarding: 10:15 am\nDeparture: 10:30 am\nReturn: 2:00 pm\n\nOn Deck Bar and Provisions \n\nCalifornia Beer: $ 8 per can\nHouse Bubbles and Mimosas: $12 per glass\nNapa / Sonoma / Import Wine: $14 per glass\nAdult Coffee or Hot Chocolate: $14 per mug\nSalt Point Cocktails: $14 per can\nPremium Non-Alcoholic: $5 per bottle/can/mug\n\nWe accept cash\, credit cards\, and Apple/Google Pay. No outside beverages are permitted aboard. We encourage our guests to support local SAUSALITO RESTAURANTS before boarding or upon return. \nLocation and Parking \nPlease plan on arriving early to find parking and the boat. \n“Schooner Freda B” is searchable on Google/Apple Maps. That is the location for boarding in Sausalito\, and Uber/Lyft can drop off there. \nFor parking\, we recommend the municipal lots surrounding Sausalito Yacht Harbor. Parking cost is per hour\, and Parking Lot #3 (searchable on Maps) usually has the most space. “Sausalito Books by the Bay” at 100 Bay Street is a central address for parking. \nFor the closest parking\, take a right at 100 Bay Street and park in spaces 1113-1159 (within “Tour Bus Parking Lot“). \nOnce parked\, walk north towards The Spinnaker restaurant. You’ll soon come across a wooden boardwalk that leads to our dock (Slip 465). Look for the two red masts! \nIf you are lost\, search “Schooner Freda B” on any Maps app. Or\, see your ticket confirmation for the “boat phone” number to call. \nSAUSALITO DIRECTIONS \nWhat to Wear \nSailing on the San Francisco Bay offers ever-changing views and exciting microclimates. Weather can change in a minute. Windbreaker\, warm base layer\, gloves\, hat\, scarf\, sunglasses\, and comfortable shoes are strongly encouraged. NO HIGH HEELS!! \nRestroom \nFreda B has a restroom on board. The restroom is available one at a time. Prior to sailing\, we recommend the on-shore facilities (link) near municipal parking lot #2. \nTickets \nAdvanced reservation is required for all passengers\, including babes in arms. Passengers 17 and under must be accompanied and always supervised by an adult. All tickets must be purchased in advance\, and full contact information is required for all passengers. \nTickets are transferable up to 48 hours prior to sail. A new name and contact information associated with the ticket are required. \nGroups of 6 or more \nGroups of 6 or more are encouraged to consider a private charter on San Francisco Bay: \nCIMBA – 32′ Grand Banks\, downtown Sausalito\, 2-10 guests \nFREDA B – 80′ Schooner\, downtown Sausalito\, 2-38 guests \nFor Your Safety \nFreda B is a United States Coast Guard (USCG) inspected vessel and complies with all the latest regulations including personal floatation devices (PFDs)\, handrails\, raft\, CPR/First Aid trained crew\, Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certified crew\, and disinfectant/sanitization standards. \nFreda B follows any and all USCG and Marin County Guidelines regarding any health crisis the county may be experiencing. \nWeather \nSailing on the San Francisco Bay is weather-dependent. We sail in most weather\, including cold\, wind\, fog\, and light showers. On occasion\, we will need to reschedule a sail due to extreme wind or rain. If this is necessary\, you will usually be notified within 24-48 hours of the scheduled sail. \nIf the Captain must cancel due to weather\, our sales team will work with you to reschedule or refund your order. The Captain and Crew monitor the most sophisticated weather channels to make every effort to bring you information in the timeliest manner. We apologize in advance if the weather complicates any special occasion plans. \nGuest Reschedule / Cancellation \nDue to the popularity of this sail\, we do not offer guests an option to cancel or reschedule within 7 days. If you need to cancel\, please do so at least 1 week in advance. To cancel or transfer tickets\, please email tickets@sfbayadventures.com.
