DESCRIPTION:Walking tour of North Beach from SF Historical Society\n\n\nWhen\nWed 04 / 29 / 2026\n9:00 AM to 2:00 PM\n\nWho can attend\nMembers and Volunteers\nLimited Capacity: 4 spots available \nPrice\n$35.00 – Purchase Tickets\n\n\n\n\nWe will meet at 9:00am at Dunphy Park and take hired transportation to the starting point.\n\n\nThe museum is not generally open on Wednesdays\, however\, they are going to open at 9:30 for our SV private group to come in\, visit their very small but extremely interesting museum and use the restrooms before the tour starts at 10:00 a.m. sharp.  Steve Johnson is the tour guide.  The tour begins at the museum at 608 Commercial Street and ends up at Washington Square at the Italian restaurant\, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana\, 1570 Stockton Street. \n$35 per person. This is the cost of the tour and goes directly to the SF Historical Society.  Sausalito Village will cover the cost of the paid transportation. \nDress in layers for SF\, comfortable shoes\, sun hats maybe. \nIf you are a member on fee waiver\, we can offer a discount of $20 for this event.  Call Wendy in the office at 415-332-3325 to arrange payment. \nPurchase Tickets

DESCRIPTION:New Exhibit Opening: “Authors”\n \n“Authors” is a new exhibit by the Sausalito Historical Society highlighting the published works of  40 late Sausalito writers. \nThe collection includes poets\, novelists\, playwrights\, story tellers\, maritime adventurers\, academics\, biographers\, screenwriters\, cartoonists\, pundits – and in some cases – characters in their own right. \nOn view are author biographies\, quintessential quotes\, and copies of their publications. \nThe exhibit can be viewed on the top floor of City Hall in the Historical Society offices during these hours: \nMonday and Wednesday\n10 a.m. to 1 p.m. \n2nd and 4th Saturday of the Month\n12 p.m. to 3p.m. \nAn Opening Reception will be held on Friday April 10th at 6 p.m. on the top floor of City Hall in the Historical Society exhibit room. \nMany of the publications are available from the MARINet  county-wide lending library system\, https://marinet.bibliocommons.com/ \nWhile many of these works are out of print\, a few can be purchased from the Sausalito Historical Society and some are available online.

You’ll be with a curated group of four people\, enjoying a happy hour spread from Barrel House Tavern (including tacos and sliders)\, while an expert from Sausalito Liquor Company leads you through crafting and sampling a series of drinks. \nReserve \nFull payment of $60 will need to made on-site\, since this will be held at a licensed bar. \nWe need to lock-in firm reservations\, since there are only 24 spots and personalized groups. We will charge $1 upon registration that will later be refunded\, and reserve the right to charge that card $50 for a late cancellation or no show (details below). \nIf you want to be placed into the same group as someone else\, please reserve multiple seats and fill out their preference details to the best of your knowledge. \nThere are multiple dates listed for this class\, please reserve just one. We are intending for 4/29 to be any age 21+\, 5/6 under 55\, and 5/13 ages 55+. Age grouping is just a suggestion\, don’t let that stop you from signing up for whichever date works best for you. \nReserve Your Seat — Cocktail Class 21+ only. Valid ID required at the door. \nCost: $1 per seat today (refunded) + $60 per person at the door \nA $1 per seat reservation fee is charged today and will be refunded after the event.
