DESCRIPTION:Cavallo Point and WildCare invite you for a day filled with wildlife\, food and fun! \nJoin Cavallo Point and WildCare for an unforgettable day celebrating the connection between people\, wildlife\, and the natural world. Formerly Talons & Friends\, Bridge to Nature celebrates all facets of WildCare’s mission\, raptors\, and beyond\, all with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge. \nBridge to Nature is an immersive experience featuring up-close encounters with WildCare’s Animal Ambassadors\, including their Northern Spotted Owl\, Sequoia\, and Sumi\, the Virginia Opossum. Hands-on educational activities for the whole family include exploring our mobile nature exhibit where kids learn about the wildlife that the Bay Area has to offer while enjoying nature-based activities. \nSavor an exquisite vegetarian and vegan cookout with grilled favorites and a special menu for the little ones. Adults can enjoy craft beer and wine for purchase\, all set to live music from Alex Kelly & Friends\, plus raffle tickets and fabulous prizes up for grabs. \nFollowing lunch\, guests will get to hear inspiring stories of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. Melanie Piazza\, WildCare’s Director of Animal Care and Hospital Operations\, will share how the hospital staff cares for and feeds baby mammals that we admit as patients and prepares them for release back to the wild. Jenny Papka from Native Bird Connections will then share her majestic hawks\, owls and eagles. Learn from this raptor rehabilitator how these amazing birds hunt and the unique role they play in the ecosystem. \nWhether you’re a lifelong wildlife enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable day with family and friends\, Bridge to Nature offers something for everyone.
