Thanks to those who’ve submitted photos. \nAbout the Festivities \nThis day full of events is free and open to the public. We are celebrating with a parade\, live music\, food\, games\, and fireworks! When attending our events\, please remember to keep Sausalito parks and the SF Bay beautiful by placing all refuse in the correct bins. \n4th of July Schedule of Events: \n10:00am: Parade starts in Old Town \n12:00pm-4:00pm: Picnic at Dunphy Park \n6:30pm: Evening celebration at Gabrielson Park \n9:15pm-9:30pm: Fireworks show at Gabrielson Park DONATE TO THE FIREWORKS \n\nParade\nThe parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. and starts on the corner of Second and Main\, it moves along Bridgeway to Caledonia Street and ends at Dunphy Park. \nThis year’s Grand Marshal will be TBD. Feel free to nominate a Grand Marshal by emailing recreation@sausalito.gov \nThe 2025 Grand Marshal was Yoshi Tome\, a Sausalito business owner since 1986\, who is very involved in the Chamber of Commerce and supporter of Sister Cities program with Sakaide\, Japan! \nSign up to participate in the 2026 4th of July Parade!\n \nNOTE Street Closure 9:45a – 11:45a: Main St. and 2nd St up Bridgeway\, all of Caledonia St. up to Bridgeway and Napa will be closed to thru traffic. \nPicnic\nGather for an afternoon picnic at Dunphy Park. TBD will play from 12:30-4:00pm in the gazebo. We’ll host our annual egg toss and tug of war competitions. \n2026 FOOD TBD Sausalito Rotary will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers. Galilee Harbor will sell fish & chips\, fries\, corn\, and watermelon. The Rec’ers will be serving wine\, margaritas\, and beer and accepting cash only. \nSausalito Parks & Recreation will have water\, soda\, and locally designed t-shirts for sale. There is a limited supply of shirts and they will only be available at the fireworks if supplies last. \nT-Shirt Design Contest\nWe’re in search of the perfect design for this year’s return of our coveted 4th of July t-shirts. And we want it to be designed by an artist who lives\, works\, and/or loves Sausalito. To enter your design to be considered for this year’s shirt\, please read the Rules and Guidelines below. \nRules and Guidelines \n\nCapture an aspect of life in Sausalito integrated with a 4th of July theme\nShirt color will be blue\nMust clear and legible. Wording can/may be added by our team later.\nWill be printed less than 12″ x12″ on the front of a shirt. Please keep this in mind.\nDesign must be wholly original. By submitting a design\, you are guaranteeing that you hold original rights to everything in it\, that it may be printed on distributed t-shirts\, and that it does not contain any copyrighted material.\nEntry must be submitted electronically and may be any of the following art file formats: .AI\, .JPG\, .PDF\, or .PNG.\nArtist can add their small signature\, as long as it doesn’t interfere with main design\, if desired.\nFinal design will be chosen by Sausalito Parks & Recreation Department and possibly modified. The winning artist grants to the City of Sausalito the rights to the design\, including any modifications thereof\, to be used on promotional/marketing and other City of Sausalito materials.\nSubmit your digitized design to: recreation@sausalito.gov by June1st\nThe winner will receive a free shirt and a $100 gift card to a local restaurant! \n\n Dillon Froelich designed the 2025 Sausalito 4th of July shirt \n \nFireworks\nThe evening events will take place at Gabrielson Park. Band TBD is sure to keep you dancing from 6:30-9pm. Fireworks will begin around 9:15pm and last for half an hour. \nTBD will be serving food. They are accepting cash and/or card. \nBring your blankets\, beach chairs (low to the ground and no high backs)\, or reserve a table. \nOur ability to provide fireworks every year is solely based on donations. We need your help! Tables are available for use from 6pm until the end of the fireworks. Each table includes 6 chairs. (this is the maximum occupancy per table) \nFirework Tables cost $120 + credit card fees. \nIf you have any questions or trouble\, please feel free to contact us at 415-289-4152 or recreation@sausalito.gov. \nOur ability to provide fireworks every year is solely based on donations.
